Course Description

This comprehensive two-day training course equips participants with essential knowledge and skills to operate Clarke Fire Protection Diesel Fire Pump Drivers and Tornatech fire pump controllers used in diesel applications. Designed for technicians, engineers, and facility managers, the course covers key concepts and practical procedures to ensure optimal performance and compliance with fire protection standards.

Course Content

Day 1: Clarke Fire Protection Diesel Fire Pump Drivers

  • Introduction to Clarke Fire Products: Overview of Clarke Fire’s diesel fire pump drivers and their applications in fire protection systems.

  • Common Terms and Descriptions: Understanding industry-specific terminology and Clarke Fire product specifications.

  • Diesel Engine Types: Exploration of various diesel engine models used in Clarke Fire pump drivers.

  • Engine Components: In-depth study of critical systems, including:

    • Instrument panels

    • Cooling system

    • Air and exhaust system

    • Fuel system

    • Engine-to-pump connection

  • Pressure Limiting Driver (PLD) Introduction: Functionality and operation of PLD systems for enhanced safety and performance.

  • Startup Inspection Requirements: Step-by-step procedures for pre-operation checks to ensure system readiness.

  • Alarm Verification Procedures: Techniques for identifying, verifying, and addressing alarms to maintain operational integrity.

Day 2: Tornatech Fire Pump Controllers for Diesel Applications

  • Overview of Tornatech Fire Pump Controllers: Introduction to Tornatech controllers used in diesel fire pump applications, including key features and specifications.

  • Proper Installation: Guidelines for correct installation of Tornatech controllers to ensure compliance with fire protection standards and optimal performance.

  • Configuration: Step-by-step procedures for configuring Tornatech controllers to meet system requirements and operational needs.

  • Operation: Best practices for operating Tornatech fire pump controllers, including monitoring, control, and response to system conditions.

$400 non-refundable fee.
Snacks, drinks, Day-1 Lunch, training retention material included. Travel, local transportation, and hotel not included.

Certificate

Certificate of Training Completion will be awarded.
This certification of training is awarded by Clarke Fire for the successful completion of Course 001. This certificate is not authorization for the individual to perform work on behalf of Clarke Fire. This certificate is assigned a unique ID number and cannot be duplicated.
